Pirkey Barber’s Wendy Larson Receives the Intellectual Property Owners Association’s Carl B. Horton Distinguished Service Award

Pirkey Barber is proud to share that Wendy Larson, Member, received the 2024 Carl B. Horton Distinguished Service Award by the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO). The award, presented during the IPO’s Annual Meeting in Chicago, recognizes individuals who demonstrate extraordinary leadership and dedication to promoting the value of intellectual property. The award was presented by IPO’s President, Krish Gupta, Senior Vice President at Dell. 

“I am truly honored to receive this award from an organization that has been such a significant part of my professional life. IPO’s work is invaluable to the IP community and I’ve been privileged to be a part of it,” Wendy said of the recognition.

Wendy has been an active and influential member of the IPO since 2010, when she joined IPO’s U.S. Trademark Law & Litigation Committee. She has since served as Vice Chair of the committee for the past 11 years, showing an exceptional commitment to advancing trademark law and practice. Her leadership roles extend to the Annual Meeting Program Committee, the Domain Name & Social Media Committee, and the Amicus Brief Committee, where she currently serves as Vice Chair.

Beyond her impressive legal contributions, Wendy is a sought-after speaker, frequently sharing her expertise at IPO events such as the IP Chat Channel, the IPOwners Spring Summit, and the Annual Meeting.
