Pirkey Barber PLLC and Member Travis Wimberly earned spots on the Americas shortlists for several national and regional 2021 Managing IP Awards, the accolades presented annually by Managing Intellectual Property magazine to acknowledge the firms, individuals, and companies behind the most innovative and challenging IP work of the past year.
Travis is one of five finalists for Practitioner of the Year (Litigation) – Texas, recognizing his extensive experience litigating IP disputes. Travis has tried cases to favorable verdict or judgment in a lead role and has successfully argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals and U.S. District Courts across the country. He has authored winning briefs at every level of federal court, including the U.S. Supreme Court, where he has served as counsel of record.
As a firm, Pirkey Barber placed on the shortlists for three Managing IP Awards that recognize its outstanding service to clients and its standing among the top intellectual property law firms across the United States. Pirkey Barber is a finalist not only for the nationwide honor of Firm of the Year – Trademark Contentious, but also for Firm of the Year – Trademark Contentious (South) and Firm of the Year – Trademark Prosecution (South).
The winners will be announced during a virtual ceremony on April 7.
