These annual awards, presented by Managing Intellectual Property magazine, are known as the most comprehensive and widely respected IP law firm awards in the legal industry. The research process is rigorous, and the companies and individuals acknowledged are behind the most significant and challenging IP work of the previous year.
Pirkey Barber is one of five finalists for the nationwide honor of Firm of the Year – Trademark Contentious as well as two regional honors, Firm of the Year – Trademark Prosecution (South) and Firm of the Year – Trademark Contentious (South). The firm has won the National Contentious award twice, the Prosecution (South) award three times, and the Contentious (South) award five times.
Travis Wimberly is one of five finalists for Practitioner of the Year (Litigation) – Texas, for the second year in a row. This nomination recognizes his extensive experience and success litigating IP disputes. Travis has tried cases to favorable verdict or judgment in a lead role and has successfully argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals and U.S. District Courts across the country. He has authored winning briefs at every level of federal court, including the U.S. Supreme Court, where he has served as counsel of record.
The winners will be announced at the Managing IP Awards Ceremony in New York City on April 7.
