Pirkey Barber PLLC, one of the largest firms in the United States focusing on trademark, copyright, and unfair competition law, has added Katharyn Zagorin to its internationally recognized trademark team.
Katharyn, who joins as an associate, helps businesses manage their brands and their online identities. She has extensive experience representing clients — which range from individual entrepreneurs and startups to Fortune 500 and multinational corporations — in clearance, prosecution, maintenance, and global enforcement of their trademark rights. Katharyn frequently handles disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board as well as matters involving copyright and trademark violations online, domain name cybersquatting, and Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) proceedings.
Katharyn is a former Judicial Extern to the Hon. Judge Stickney in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas and a frequent author of articles on intellectual property law. She contributes annually to the SMU Annual Texas Survey and has been published in the INTA Bulletin and the Intellectual Property & Technology Law Journal.
She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
