We are excited to announce the arrival of two outstanding attorneys, Alexandra Curren and Marie Mullins, who have recently joined Pirkey Barber as Associates. Their exceptional academic backgrounds and judicial clerkship experience make them invaluable additions to our team.
Alexandra Curren previously clerked with Pirkey Barber during the summer of 2022 and again in spring 2023, gaining firsthand experience with our firm’s unique culture and practice. She earned her J.D. with High Honors from the University of Texas School of Law in May 2024, where she served as an Associate Editor for the Texas Law Review and was named Chancellor-at-Large, an honor reserved for students with the top sixteen GPAs in their class through the second year. Alexandra’s academic excellence is further highlighted by her Dean’s Achievement Awards for Outstanding Student in Alternative Dispute Resolution, Evidence, and Civil Procedure. After graduation, she completed a federal clerkship with the Honorable Robert Pitman, U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Texas. Alexandra also holds a B.S. in Theatre Performance from the University of Evansville, graduating in 2019.
Marie Mullins earned her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 2023, serving as an Articles Editor for the Texas Law Review and participating in the Supreme Court Clinic. Her legal writing and advocacy skills were recognized with the Dean’s Achievement Award in Persuasive Writing & Advocacy. Following law school, Marie clerked for the Honorable David A. Ezra and the Honorable Elizabeth S. Chestney in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. Marie also holds a B.A. in International Relations from the College of William & Mary, and brings a global perspective to her practice, drawing from academic experience in Scotland and professional work in France.
