Catherine Barry

Catherine Barry is a senior trademark paralegal at Pirkey Barber, where she supports attorneys and clients across all stages of trademark portfolio management. With nearly three decades of experience in the legal industry, Catherine brings a strong understanding of trademark prosecution, docketing, client communication, and the day-to-day coordination required to manage complex domestic and international trademark matters.

Before joining the firm, Catherine spent more than 15 years with PepsiCo/Frito-Lay, most recently as a Senior Legal Specialist and Senior Trademark Paralegal. In that role, she worked closely with in-house legal teams and outside counsel on trademark matters for one of the world’s most recognizable consumer brand portfolios. Her experience included managing trademark-related workflows, supporting client education and internal communications, coordinating with business teams, and helping ensure that brand protection efforts were handled efficiently and consistently.

Catherine’s background also includes senior paralegal roles with HIT Entertainment and Baker Botts LLP, as well as consulting experience through Temple-Barry LLC. Across these roles, she has developed broad experience supporting trademark attorneys, maintaining organized processes, and serving as a reliable point of contact for clients, colleagues, and outside partners.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading, gardening, cooking and spending time with family.
