Julie Murphy

Julie Murphy is a senior paralegal at Pirkey Barber with extensive experience in intellectual property matters, including trademark and copyright prosecution, IP due diligence, and contract drafting and negotiation. She is recognized for her strong project management skills and her proactive approach to improving workflows and processes, helping teams operate efficiently and deliver high-quality client service.

Julie brings experience spanning both in-house legal departments and law firm environments, offering a well-rounded perspective in her work. Prior to joining Pirkey Barber, she served as a Senior Global IP Paralegal at Fluidra and previously worked at J.M. Huber Corporation and UPS. Earlier, she spent more than 17 years at Eversheds Sutherland, where she developed a strong foundation in complex IP matters and client service, and has also routinely provided outsourced paralegal support to major clients.

Julie is known for her ability to quickly adapt to new tools, systems, and challenges, and for her collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Georgia and holds a Paralegal Certificate with honors in Corporate law from the National Center for Paralegal Training.

In her free time, Julie enjoys running, hiking, gardening, and cooking.
