Katherine advises her clients—from emerging businesses to complex global organizations—throughout the entire trademark lifecycle. Her practice encompasses domestic and international trademark clearance, strategy, prosecution, policing and enforcement, licensing, and trademark-related transactions.

Katherine provides strategic counsel on the selection, protection, and management of trademarks in the U.S. and internationally. She has extensive experience coordinating global trademark clearance, developing international registration strategies, and handling complex prosecution end matters. Her practice also includes portfolio management, brand enforcement, and resolving trademark disputes.

With a background in corporate and M&A law, Katherine brings a business-oriented perspective to her intellectual property practice. She regularly conducts IP due diligence, advises on trademark-related transactions, and negotiates and drafts trademark licenses, settlement agreements, and other related documents.

Katherine represents clients in a wide variety of industries and stages of development, from large public companies to start-ups, which she frequently represented while running her own trademark practice for several years. Her background also includes working in a large, international law firm coordinating global trademark clearance and registration strategies.

Katherine earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was a member of the California Law Review and the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law. During law school, she received the American Jurisprudence Award in Contracts and the Moot Court Advocacy Award. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, San Diego, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

Outside the office, Katherine enjoys traveling, watching movies, and spending time with her friends, family, and two teenage daughters.
