
Sarah Voeller
Sarah Voeller is an accomplished intellectual property attorney specializing in trademark and copyright law. She has extensive experience guiding clients through brand protection, prosecution, and enforcement matters before the TTAB.
Sarah Voeller focuses her practice on trademark law, advising clients on brand protection, prosecution, enforcement, and portfolio management. She has extensive experience preparing, filing, and managing U.S. and international trademark applications, responding to office actions, and representing clients in disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). Sarah counsels on clearance strategies, portfolio maintenance, and enforcement, and coordinates international filings and enforcement efforts across Europe, Canada, Asia, and Australia.
Sarah successfully litigated and won the second-only TTAB fraud case decided since Bose in 2009, Fuji Medical Instruments Mfg. Co., Ltd. v. American Crocodile International Group, Inc., a precedential decision recognized for its significance in trademark law.
Sarah holds a J.D., cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law, where she was a member of the William Mitchell Law Review and received the Founder’s Scholarship. She earned her B.S., summa cum laude, in Biology from Boston College, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and honored as Dean’s Scholar for Outstanding Achievement in the Biological Sciences.
Sarah is admitted to practice in Minnesota, the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She is an active member of the Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Association, American Bar Association, INTA, AIPLA, Minnesota State Bar Association, and Hennepin County Bar Association.
Sarah regularly delivers presentations on brand protection, including lectures to law firms in Japan, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Italy. She has presented before the Scott County Chamber of Commerce and previously taught as an Adjunct Professor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, mentoring students in advocacy and intellectual property law.
Committed to community service, Sarah serves on the Board of the Visitation School Alumnae Association and volunteers at school events, including Women’s Day. She has provided pro bono legal counsel for HOLY KIDS!, a community-focused ministry dedicated to children.
Outside of her legal practice, Sarah enjoys taking Pilates classes as well as reading, exploring new cities both domestic and abroad, and listening to podcasts.
