Brandon M. Ress
Brandon is an experienced attorney skilled in all aspects of trademark prosecution, transactions, counseling, and trademark and unfair competition litigation.
Brandon’s practice includes all aspects of trademark prosecution, transactions, policing, and counseling, as well as intellectual property and Internet-related litigation involving trademark, copyright, and unfair competition claims. He has represented clients in contested proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and has prosecuted trademark applications for businesses in the consumer product, retail, software, restaurant, insurance, medical device, gaming, and oil and gas industries. He counsels Fortune 500 clients in numerous industries on various intellectual property issues.
He has been actively involved in the International Trademark Association (INTA), where has been a member of the Trademark Reporter Committee (2018 – present) and the Internet Committee (2012 – 2015).
In 2005, Brandon received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law where he graduated cum laude. He received his Intellectual Property law concentration with honors, was the managing editor of the Journal of Science and Technology Law, and was a research assistant to Professor Wendy Gordon. Prior to law school, Brandon received his B.A. in Mathematics and Comparative Literature from Northwestern University.
